Our President should intervene nao. Haba 54 people like they're animals.

Unknown said...

Their commander is so stupid, he should be be one sentence to death.

Anonymous said...

This government really seems to enjoy bloodshed.
lf a whole 54 soldiers can risk staging a mutiny which is a very rare thing. The right thing is to address the cause of their mutiny not to kill them.

Anonymous said...

And we say we don't have enuf soldiers to fight book haram and yet they want to Execute 54.stupid Jonathan

Unknown said...

A country in turmoil that only God can salvage. If government can grant amnesty to those who seek to destroy us, why can't they intervene for these ones?

Anonymous said...

Nigerians and sentiment..in the army an act of mutiny is only punishable by death but the irony of it is the fact that the soldiers declined to fight because of lack of equipments. .what happened to the huge defence budget? Ordinarily I would have supported the death sentence bcuz they swore to defend their nation with their blood but they were ill-equiped.so I blame the govt

I believe a positive news will be heard later about them. Meanwhile people saying trash about GEJ should just shut up please it's not new again hearing you all saying trash about him 'long hiss' #onelovefromSnow#

Well its painful they have to die. Wish they will not. But they swore to an oath to defend their land no matter what. People bringing up the sentiment of ill equip. Like seriously. I look at those young kurdish syria and iraqi women defending their town with little or no equipments even blowing them selves up when captured killing them selves and their captors. That is patriotism right there. Some of these soldiers are the reason why book haram war has come these far. They sabotage the military, they expose the barracks and armoury to attack and sell out information to the enemy, yet people will come out and blame Jonathan. It's just too sad to think of the length some people will go to destroy or frustrate others.

Let us join hands together and say no to this!!!

Please read----»I speak for the 54 Nigerian Soldiers sentenced to death for Mutiny:

This is barbaric and abuse of power. I don't care what the damn military law states concerning mutiny! Sentencing 54 soldiers to death is outrageous and misconduct of proper rule? Please we are not in the days of Communism, this is democracy and if a soldier feels he is under a plotted threat, he has every right to retreat or deploy.

The country is facing massive terror attack, this is not the time to play foolish law by reducing soldiers that should be trained for attack against the insurgents. Killing these 54 Nigeria Soldiers will be like leaving 108 Boko Haram members alive to continue in their terrorist activities. Because each of these 54 Soldiers can kill 2 Boko Haram members each if given the proper ammunition i.e. 54 x 2 = 108. Now which one is the best, to kill 54 Soldiers for mutiny or to eliminate 108 Boko Haram Members for Insurgency? WHAT KIND OF BARBARIC GOVERNMENT DO WE PRACTICE IN NIGERIA where the terror insurgents are given Amnesty, and the Chickened-out Soldiers are given a death sentence! DOESN'T MAKE SENSE BECAUSE IT IS NONSENSE!!!!

If these Soldiers are killed, it will discourage the youths in the army to emerge for patriotic heroism, knowing their country does not care for them.

Suggestion: Mutiny is a crime so therefore the soldiers must not go unpunished; but for now they must be given a chance to redeem themselves or face the consequences. They should be put under SEVERE military training with 24hour surveillance, and then set them out on deadlier missions on different time and place against the insurgents (with lesser ammunition). De-coils will be dispatched after them without their knowledge just in case if they decide to run, they will be shot to death instantly.

* And any one of them that survives the mission would be sentenced to 1year imprisonment, then after that resume their duty as soldiers.
* And any one of them that are lightly injured would have redeemed themselves but after treatment will resume back to duty.
* And any one of them that are severely injured should be given a leave of absence.
* And any one of them that might lost his life would have redeemed himself and his name must not be tarnished but uphold as a war hero.

PLEASE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT, A Place of a Soldier is to die in the battlefield, not as a criminal in a place where there is no honor in their death!!!!

If you can pledge AMNESTY to bunch of Terrorists, then it won't be so hard to render compassion to this revolted Soldiers.

I PRAY THAT GOD WILL INTERVENE AND THAT THE MILITARY COURT TAMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

Unknown said...

Nothing will be done joor, them no fit try am,they can't even do it,its just an empty threat.where in nigeria is death sentence practiced? After giving our military Dane guns to fight Holigans using automatic machines as weapon and u expect dem to fight. God punish those useless military top officers incharge of adjudicating these officers for mutiny.if its that easy why didn't take up arms against the Boko boys.
Nonsense death sentence. Abeg make I go eat my pounded yam joor.

They should not just try it. Boko Haram is killing and they still want to use their own hand to kill.God help our country. these soldiers are needed in the war front NOT sentenced to Death.mumu Nigerians

AGB said...

Ordinarily as civilians, our emotions go into play here and we feel sorry for these guys. However, the rules of the military to its soldiers are very clear before they get admitted into the armed forces. These soldiers read the terms, agree and sign then take an oath of service. Mutiny, sabotage or refusal to execute orders given to you by a superior officer are all considered as cowardice and treachery and have very severe punishments. In the military, soldiers are expected to die fighting rather than cower in fear and retreat. Even if you retreat from battle as a soldier, you better not do that at the expense of an order from a superior soldier otherwise you're a goner and would be punished heavily.

Anonymous said...

Most of you here are not well informed, they penalty for mutiny anywhere is DEATH!...soldiers don't protest! they shld have backed out when it got tough,so i don't get all the 'Jonathan shld talk' u guyz are saying. If these ones go free it will become I trend,i pray their lives are miraculously spared dou

If you tolerate mutiny in the army, you'll be setting a very bad and dangerous precedence which Nigeria as a whole nay never recover from. As painful as it nay sound, they should pay for what they signed on for. The penalty for mutiny is the gallows. Anything short will be bad for the military
