pre-teen, the people that I had to look up to for body image were

I don't think there has ever been a time when skinny ladies were in vogue. Some people will always like skinny girls, and people will always like curvaceous girls, but girls with curves have always been desirable at all times. For western world it has. I agree completely. For as long as I can remember, the western world's idea of what beauty is meant that you have to be skinny with no ass or breast and zero curves. And even when Beyonce came, people where still on the fence because she is black. But Kim Kardashian(as much as I hate to say this) was really the person who changed the game simply because she is white and whites where more likely to take her word or her physical attributes to it, than that of a black lady like Beyonce. When Kim came around with her curves, she truly made a difference because white people started thinking, "hmmm, so you can be white, and have curves and be beautiful, too." But we Africans are just follow follow. We've always copied the west for everything. When the west say skinny is the best, we Africans will jump on the bandwagon and follow-follow. Now that the west have agreed that curve is good, now we Africans, especially Nigerian want to jump on the bandwagon again....
